Looking to cross off those last few names on your holiday gift list? This time of year arrives all too quickly and just when we think the final gifts have been wrapped, new names magically begin to appear. In the spirit of giving (and in a race against time!) we find ourselves scrambling to locate the perfect gift for that special somebody. This year, the BHG Live Better Network of Bloggers were challenged to create meaningful gifts for the holidays using the affordable Better Homes and Gardens collection at Walmart. If you’re in need of a last minute idea, read on for some quick and thoughtful gifting inspiration.

1. Kristyn Merkley from Lil Luna fills her home with warm holiday scents by mixing and matching Wax cubes. Whether it’s Vanilla Cookie Crunch or Cinnamon &  Spice, there are endless fragrant varieties to package alongside a seasonal BHG wax warmer.

2. Ashley Thurman from Cherished Bliss has mastered the art of gift basket stacking, and you can too! Using a “Pump” Soap Dispenser“Things” Canister“Brush” Holder, and extra absorbent chevron towels from Better Homes and Gardens, this guest-ready basket includes all your bathroom essentials.

3. Surprise your favorite teacher! Chelsea Coulston from Making Home Base uses cozy throws, warm scented candles, homemade hot cocoa mix (hello relaxation!) and even adds a personal touch by including an ornament with a handwritten message on the back. This “school’s out” Chicken Wire Basket will have teachers feeling more appreciated than ever this holiday season.

4. Don’t shy away from going bold! Consider pairing White Flameless LED Pillar Candles with a colorful ceramic lantern like Ursula Carmona from Home Made by Carmona. Candles are easy and affordable, and bring a subtle ambient glow to any holiday gathering. Plus, with this flameless alternative, you can forget about the real threat of fire from forgotten flames.

5. Attending a white elephant gift exchange? Ashley McLeod from Domestic Imperfection recommends personalizing gifts in a do-it-yourself fashion. She added a witty food quote to a Bamboo Serving Tray that’s sure to serve as a fun conversation starter.

6. Don’t limit yourself to the use of conventional gift baskets. Consider using white porcelain serve ware as a base for your gift set. Destiny Alfonso at Just Destiny adds gold and silver flair to create a glamorous gift platter.

7. Perfect for the entertainer in your life, Myra Yarbrough of My Blessed Life recommends checking out the Heritage Dinnerware Collection from Better Homes and Gardens. The Heritage Serve Bowl is versatile and will stand out on any holiday table.

8. Hosting a holiday gathering and looking for a unique party favor? Bethany Halford and Amanda Jenkins from Whoa Wait Walmart draped woven herringbone blankets over the back of each chair for guests to take home after attending their intimate outdoor soiree.

9. It doesn’t take much to show a friend you care. Brooke Ulrich from All Things Thrifty loves fun, inexpensive gifts like this Small Acacia Wood-Top Jar. Fill it with peppermint candies, add a sweet message, and you’re good to go.

10. For a gift that inspires beautiful home design, Angie Holden from The Country Chic Cottage suggests adding Baroque Mirrors, a distressed teal clock, and cozy throws to a “Décor Lovers” gift basket.

11. When in doubt, bake! Jennifer Hadfield from Tatertots & Jello shares a mouthwatering holiday recipe — S’Mores Mix. You can’t go wrong with gifting a sweet treat for all to enjoy. Use the Heritage Collection 3-Piece Bowl Set to house your homemade cookies, candy and more!

12. Wax warmers and wax cubes are a perfect last minute and affordable gift for the teacher, coach, bus driver and anyone else you’d wish to thank this holiday season. Sarah Saucedo from Thrifty Decor Chick shares how best to package a wax warmer set.

13. Candy, hot chocolate and Christmas classics! Liz Latham from Hoosier Homemade creates a meaningful gift basket everyone in the family will enjoy. Games, warm blankets, and Flip-Tite Storage Containers filled with snacks are the perfect basis for a fun-filled movie night.

14. What’s not to love about warming up with a rich mug of hot chocolate? Jen Burg from The Suburban Mom recommends giving a gift that encourages family time. The more DIY Reindeer Cones the merrier!
